Her background is in swimming, which includes winning three gold medals as a 16-year-old at the New Zealand secondary school swimming championships in the 50-meter, 100-meter and 200-meter backstroke in 2023.
Â
A marketing major, Stanley-Hunt hopes to continue to pursue triathlon after DU and represent her country on the international stage.

Why did you choose the University of Denver?
Â
"I chose Denver because of the incredible coaching staff, top-level facilities, strong academic support, and the welcoming environment that creates the perfect balance between athletics and academics. Also Colorado's environment reminds me of New Zealand."
Â
Why Triathlon?
