Aaron D'Addario rejoined the Denver Pioneers coaching staff as the head diving coach in October of 2019, completing his sixth season back with the program in 2024-25.

2024-25: D'Addario helped guide the Pioneers to another sweep of the Summit League Championships, the women's program's 12th-straight title and the men's program's 11th title in the last 12 seasons. For the fourth-consecutive year, D'Addario swept the two diving coach of the year honors at the Summit League Championships as well, while coaching Summit League Men's Diver of the Championship Zyad Morsy and Summit League Women's Diver of the Championship Savanna Berry. Morsy and Berry swept both boards at the 2024-25 championships. Denver sent seven divers to the 2025 NCAA Zone E Championships in Washington State with Morsy making the 1-meter finals session.
2023-24: D'Addario once again helped guide the Pioneers to a pair of Summit League Championships, the 11th-straight for the Denver women and the 10th in 11 years for the Pioneer men. The Denver Diving Head Coach swept the two diving coach of the year awards at the Summit League Championships coached divers Zyad Morsy and Olivia Gordon, who each swept the Diver of the Championship and the Diver of the Year in their respective sports. Denver sent five divers to the NCAA Zone E Championships, led by Morsy, who finished one spot off qualification in multiple events.
2022-23: D'Addario helped lead the Pioneers to their 10th-straight Summit League Women's Championship, and their ninth men's championship in the last 10 years. He coached Zora Opalka to the Summit League Women's Diver of the Championship and Zyad Morsy and Olivia Gordon to the men's and women's Summit League Diver of the Year honors. In addition, under D'Addario's leadership Denver sent seven divers to the 2023 NCAA Zone E Diving Championships in Federal Way, Washington, and Zyad Morsy became the first Denver diver since Ross Edfort in 2015 to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
2021-22: In a year where he coached the Summit League Men's Diver of the Championship, D'Addario swept the Summit League Diving Coach of the Year honors on both the men's and women's side for the first time. Ammar Hassan swept both the Summit League Diver of the Championship and the Summit League Diver of the Year awards under D'Addario's leadership, qualifying for the NCAA Zone E Championships.
2020-21: D'Addario coached Summit League Diver of the Championship and Diver of the Year Olivia Gordon on the women's side, who won the 3-meter and finished second on the 1-meter board at the Summit League Championships. Gordon earned what would have been a score good enough for the NCAA Zone Diving qualifiers on the 3-meter at the delayed Summit League Championship.
2019-20: D'Addario coached Sammy Walker to a pair of Summit League Championships on the women's side, while earning three podium places on the men's side at the event. D'Addario coached Jason Gleason to the NCAA Zone E Championships.
Previous Time at Denver: During his previous stint with the Pioneers, D'Addario served on the NCAA Swimming and Diving Committee in his final two years with the program. D'Addario was the head judge coordinator for USA Diving JO Nationals from 2011-14 and was a FINA International judge from 2011-15. Following his time at Denver, D'Addario has also been a judge at the Mountain West Conference Championship and has been involved in the NCAA Men's and Women's Championships, including as the diving referee at the 2015 men's championship.
Prior to Denver: D'Addario served in the same role from 2009 to 2013, earning Sun Belt Men's Diving Coach of the Year honors in 2010 and 2011. The newest member of Hicken Franklin's staff coached the men's diver of the year in the Sun Belt Conference in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Since his first stint in Denver, which was capped off with a masters in Sport and Performance and Psychology, D'Addario has been working on his sport psychology doctorate at Florida State University's College of Education, which he will complete with his dissertation in the near future. During his time in Tallahassee, D'Addario has been a graduate teaching assistant for Introduction into Sport and Exercise Psychology and Performance Psychology courses. D'Addario has also worked as an applied mental performance consultant since 2015.
In his collegiate career, D'Addario was a captain of the 2002-03 Union College Swimming and Diving team before serving as the head diving coach for his alma mater from 2003-06.
